The Smokies from near Taig an Drama Two Weeks in Oz

February 2002

I was fortunate enough to win a 2 week all expense paid trip to Australia back in 2001 which I took in March of 2002. I spent the first week traveling by myself but was joined by my dear daughter, Amy, for week two. Two things were on her list to do - first to climb Uluru (Ayers Rock) and second to snorkel the Great Barrrier Reef. Unfortunately, the night before we were to visit Uluru, it rained about 5 inches and, apparently, Uluru is slippery when wet. She did get to snorkel the GBR and I was glad she got the opportunity. The locals refer to their country as Oz! If you would like to read my account of this trip, click here.
